At the Lenten dinner tonight, see if the attendance is down. Look for those familiar faces. Those chatty church ladies in their 70s and 80s.
Tomorrow, run out to that grocery store nearby and see if the parking lot is jammed full like it always is.
Friday, go to the fish-fry dinner at the KofC or VFW hall. Ghost towns?
Is the economy REALLY suffering? Is Starbucks shuttering outlets because of the stock price? I’ve got co-workers concerned that people they don’t even know in Seattle are getting laid-off because the media is telling them that the economy is being tanked by the virus.
