But after that the virus went wild and infected everybody in sight..
Now multiple towns/areas are in quarantine and the virus has spread throughout the country.
Nowhere has been safe, and containment efforts have been a total failure, repeat, total failure.
I’m curious to know how effective a quarantine will be if the masses are already infected. I understand the thought, but does it really make a difference?

supply chain problems ARE demand problems.
When the demand for antibiotics exceeds the supply of antibiotics ...there is a problem.
If we run out of antibiotics it will be medicine 1920’s style.

worst case it would still slow the spread some..don’t want everyone getting sick at the same time...it would collapse the health care system...there are only so many ICU beds

Okay, I misunderstood. But that probably wasn’t part of the 2020 census since the initial forms haven’t even been sent out yet. Probably part of one of the community surveys that are done periodically outside the ten year census.
You probably can protect the suburban areas/rural areas from the urban centers.
Then local containment will be easier in the areas outside the cities.
Quarantines are necessary because you need to buy time for the health care system...

I think the problem of supply will be handled well.
Bu the probltem of decreased demand means people won’t be buying things, so economic numbers will fall.
Saw those reports. Pastor Jeffress from Dallas First Baptist was on FOX this morning saying people will come to church than get live streaming because it’s like sitting in front of a warm fire compared to sitting in from of a picture of a fireplace.
How about do you want to sit in front of a picture and be able to return to church in a few months or attend tomorrow and never live to see another Sunday.
Church isn’t a building. The house of God is closer just sitting on your back porch catching some healthy rays surrounded by His creation.

There is known second generation community spread now in NY, WA and CA that did not travel. And likely more undiscovered.
There is zero point in bringing in more from overseas.

Good point. New York would be the worse place to be in the country. Dems cluster in the cities. Republicans are mostly in more rural areas.
