It looked to me like he was trying to hide a smile, or even a chuckle. Trump was smiling/smirking when he said it.
I am amazed how Pence can stand behind Trump at these press conferences & keep a straight face. When Trump responded yesterday with "I would you are a terrible reporter" Pence didn't bat an eye. I was dying laughing.
After it's over & they get off stage, do you think Pence gives Trump a high-five?
That’s what I’m thinking he could be smirking and face palming over the stupidity of the press for all we know.
I was amazed at the State of the Union when Pelosi was ripping up the address he just stood there looking straight ahead. Never turned once to see what was going on.
