Store outdoors if possible. Rotate and flip the box to let the ultraviolet light help kill the virus.
That will kill the virus on the outside of the box. Depending on your latitude probably for effectiveness. If we actually GET sun (whining noises here...it’s rained for weeks!)
I’m’a wait a cpl weeks to actually open the box though. And store the box in my garage in the interim.
No clue if it makes a difference.
But I’ve got too many people depending on me (and my hubby) to take chances we don’t have to take at this point.
