Floyd Medical Centers patient, a 46-year-old woman, arrived Saturday at the hospitals Emergency Care Center with flu-like symptoms, the hospital said. She was screened according to state health and CDC guidelines, treated and released.
She did not meet the testing criteria for COVID-19 or warrant hospitalization, hospital officials said in the release. The woman returned Tuesday with worsening symptoms, and after further testing, the hospital notified the states Department of Public Health, which authorized her release. Floyd Medical Center clinicians made the determination to admit her to the hospital, despite not meeting COVID-19 screening criteria.
This is bad... now we may see an outbreak of healthcare workers, first responders and anywhere else this woman went

what a cluster F*** ..the US response has been a D- so far
it would be an F but a tad of credit to Trump for his early travel ban
Floyd Medical Center is on Rome, GA, btw
This is a mess of mad bureaucrats scrambling in circles.
Very unsettling.
Once the new test kits are widely available these types of incorrect decisions should be eliminated.
