Thank you, these threads have a wealth of information and I appreciate you for posting them.
I agree. But WA shows zero signs that they will do that. So the other 49 states need a buffer of some sort.
There are breaking new cases in Cali from the previous trip all day today. We may have to send that ship to Alcatraz.
two weeks of food is quite a lot of food, and it requires a lot of storage and cash on hand. So three days of food feels much more manageable for people.
No, it doesn’t require a lot of storage or cash. IOW, we should expect folks banging on our doors come Monday morning. Sorry, this drawbridge was raised yesterday.
Hey, Epicurious, such elitists. Our store doesn’t stock olive oil or organic peanut butter much less shelf-stable smoked fish. Several years ago, I had to do what felt like a back alley drug deal just to get some frozen fish which caused the cashier and bag boy to call people over to see it in my cart. Frozen spinach and kale? Snort, I bought the only can of spinach on the shelf yesterday.
I think our fridge came brand new with more food inside. Ok, not true. Let’s see, that’s at least 5 days worth of meals for a single person. One egg, 2-3 slices of bacon, a piece of cheese and a citrus fruit for breakfasts. One fourth of each cabbage, one carrot, yogurt and a squirt of lemon would make a big bowl of coleslaw which will last several days. Do a stir fry with more cabbage, carrots, the last egg and what looks to be a mystery meat on top of the bacon. Use a second portion of that mystery meat with saute’d apples and a side of boiled carrots. Last portion of mystery meat with boiled cabbage and roasted carrots. Carrot sticks and yogurt dip for snacking. Act like a kid by snacking on a lemon sprinkled with salt. Use the 2nd apple sliced with another yogurt dip sweetened with the jelly. Wine, cheese and the last apple sliced. If there’s any bacon left, wrap it around cheese and finish off the wine. Plenty of leftovers.
Unfortunately that crap is going to wreck havoc in the environment. But what else can we do ? How about hiring delivery drivers and pickers fully hazmatted.
** Burn the cash or simply store it for two weeks ? There is a problem in that strategy. **
You can wash and iron money. Steam created should kill virus, wouldn’t it? I am a germaphobe, and have done this in the past, so unless the fabric and inks have changed...
It ‘s the ‘sophisticared’, idle-rich, ‘loyalty’to-no-country’s crowd.
You know, anyone *but* Deplorables.
“Dining and residence halls”...?
Buh-bye Seattle!
COVID-19 IN ARIZONA
People tested: 51
Confirmed positive: 1
Presumptive positive: 2
Results pending: 15
Ruled out: 33
I’ve been seeing those.
Looks like “Health Officials” are walking back testing 100%, and want to get everyone off. Maybe we can just send them home if they promise to self quarantine...
What mechanism?
Because if it kills by cytokine storm, children are less vulnerable; their bodies rely more upon the innate immune system.
Actually, NH.
We have a house there that we are moving to in the next couple months and were at it for the weekend.
It was shopping in West Lebanon, just a couple exits from Dartmouth.
Just a thought - what about grow lights as a weak alternative?
The presumptive case of the virus is a male Reno resident in his 50s who is linked to the Grand Princess cruise ship outbreak. His condition is stable and he is self isolating at home,
==
But, but....how can this be so??
I thought all of the returned Princess D passengers were quarantined for the appropriate time and properly screened, before being cleared to go back home.
That was *my* first thought.
Los Angeles International Airport. Hmm, there might be a clue in it’s name.
Either this stuff lives on money forever, which it dont, or they want cash removed. Admittingly, it is going to have less desirability. Paper money that is. Hey maybe coins made of silver ? Crazy idea I know.
Different ship, this was part of the Grand Princess cruise group (the one thats still quarantined off San Francisco)
“Im sorry but considering the shortages, I think the stores should limit how much one person can buy.”
Trust me - they will, within a week (for those not already limiting).
