ITALY
THE CASE OF DOCTORS IN QUARANTINE
The Veneto Governor’s statements today, March 6. Since the beginning of the Coronavirus emergency - he explains - about 450 health workers in the Veneto have been in quarantine. Almost all (doctors, nurses and operators) tested negative for the swab and showed no symptoms, but as they came into contact with infected patients, the Ministry of Health ordered fiduciary home isolation for 14 days. ‘A real madness: at this rate we risk having to close the wards’, is the alarm by Professor Andrea Crisanti, director of the Microbiology and Virology operating unit of the Padua Hospital, supported by the governor himself.

Yesterday we were told the first 45 tests were flown from the Grand Princess Cruise Ship to San Fran, and we should have results in the morning. Seems they might be dragging their feet, and now it’s “maybe late afternoon”. I guess Friday evening is the traditional time to dump crappy news. Or maybe they are waiting until after the markets close. Fingers crossed we dodged a bullet.
It was mentioned if not in this thread then in another. Best to be safe than sorry whatever the truth may be
It is very difficult to find information that may be in some thread with 1000 posts.
I can’t help you with your missing agents - have you tried in the Zot pile?
Washington has become a Super Spreader. Bay Area and New York to follow.
2 new cases in LA COUNTY
ANOTHER AIRPORT SCREENER
Quarantines of large cities may have a better risk/reward profile.
We are so out of practice with this stuff...
New York state has 33 cases of coronavirus with 29 of those linked to a Manhattan lawyer as the number of people in the city who tested positive rises to five
anyone who takes his subway should definitely be on the alert
UK—I think they may have been testing the wrong people (like _everybody_ in certain hospital wings)—would be interesting to see details.
This Italian move is one that is too draconian imho—if a doctor (or nurse or technician) tests negative, put them to work!
The risk/reward payoff should be there.
Darn. Was hoping I would get ridiculed. Lol.
He took a commuter train from New Rochelle to Grand Central Station.
From there he walked to his office.
Not many high rises in Phoenix. In Vegas a new one shows up every week. Lol.
Once nice thing however about staggering health care workers for 14 day quarantines is that they continue to come back to work healthy. However, there is the chance that if the system gets so bad they could refuse to come into work, including nurses and doctors

What if the Cytokine storm is triggered when getting second infection with different strain. They are so close genetically it may confuse the immune system somehow. Kinda like throwing a monkey wrench into the works.
