THE CASE OF DOCTORS IN QUARANTINE
The Veneto Governor’s statements today, March 6. Since the beginning of the Coronavirus emergency - he explains - about 450 health workers in the Veneto have been in quarantine. Almost all (doctors, nurses and operators) tested negative for the swab and showed no symptoms, but as they came into contact with infected patients, the Ministry of Health ordered fiduciary home isolation for 14 days. ‘A real madness: at this rate we risk having to close the wards’, is the alarm by Professor Andrea Crisanti, director of the Microbiology and Virology operating unit of the Padua Hospital, supported by the governor himself.
UK—I think they may have been testing the wrong people (like _everybody_ in certain hospital wings)—would be interesting to see details.
