Speaking of France, I found this interesting.
Sanofi, the French manufacturer of Tamiflu (5th largest worldwide), apparently has approval to sell it OTC in the US and has forged a deal with Roche (Swiss based and 2nd largest pharma ww) to be their distributor in the US.
The approval was won in July, 2019, with an expectation it would be available within the year.

This is a summary of sorts. It is from the JAMA site, but it is immensely readable.
It describes the comparisons to SARS and MERS, and talks about how they are the sameand different. If I were a teacher leading a class discussion, this would be required reading.
