And the hits just keep coming.....
Coronavirus patient mistakenly released from isolation in San Antonio before testing positive for illness, mayor says
The fact that the CDC allowed the public to be exposed to a patient with a positive COVID-19 reading is unacceptable, San Antonio Mayor Ron Nirenberg said in a written statement. We will hold the CDC accountable to providing complete transparency for the public. This situation is exactly why we have been asking for federal officials to accept the guidance of our medical community.

It wasn’t exactly a ‘mistake’, as the proper protocol was followed. Of course it would help if they figured out that this is NOT SARS and thus use a protocol that actually works.
And Texas was supposedly clean before they dumped these people here. But I kinda doubt we are clean with Houston and Dallas. Almost as if these foul ups obscure and coverup the real negligent issues.
...mistakenly released...
Right.
arrived Feb 7 - asymptomatic and tested two negatives prior to release, 3rd test came back weakly positive after her release. Reminds me of the Westerdam woman who turned out to not be positive after all. I think, before panicking, they should test her again. Wasn’t there a prior post about the Atlanta test lab being contaminated?
From your San Antonio article...
...After the patient was released, a pending lab test was determined to be weakly positive. The patient was brought back into isolation out of an abundance of caution,” the CDC said.
Health officials are working to trace people the patient may have come into contact with and notify them of their potential risk, the CDC said.
The city of San Antonio said its health department will assist the CDC in tracking where the patient went and who she interacted with, and said it will share the information publicly once the assessment is complete.....

I remember transcribing the San Antonio health department presser, held with the CDC, they gave when the Wuhan people were first brought to Lackland and hotels.
It was one of the most evasive and weak health pressers I’d ever heard.
It gave NO confidence about the team and the task at hand.
Jeez. We are two weeks into this. You would think they would have gone over the rules a few times by now.
