RIDOH Announces Second Presumptive Positive COVID-19 Case; Testing a Third Individual
The Rhode Island Department of Health (RIDOH)’s State Health Laboratories have identified a second presumptive positive case of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19), and a separate person has been tested for COVID-19 today. The presumptive positive case is a teenager. She is at home with mild symptoms. The adult being tested is in her 30s and is also at home with mild symptoms.
I’ve been saying this for nearly a month.
This is likely a level 3+ pathogen. Level 3 attire is probably fine. For a while. Level 4 would be better but it’s prohibitively expensive.
If you wear a mask it’s to keep YOU from spreading it. NOT to keep you from GETTING it.

arrived Feb 7 - asymptomatic and tested two negatives prior to release, 3rd test came back weakly positive after her release. Reminds me of the Westerdam woman who turned out to not be positive after all. I think, before panicking, they should test her again. Wasn’t there a prior post about the Atlanta test lab being contaminated?

It’s the either or virus. Either you have mild symptoms OR you nearly die.
Almost as if the timing matches Trumps typical loop cycle. Yeah. At points like this you need to step out of your normal mode. Switch into a crisis management mode. If he does a good job with this crisis, that is all that will matter. Stocks dont vote and they dont attend funerals.

Chinese media outlets have been accused of echoing the Chinese Communist Party’s political propaganda in understating the severity of the COVID-19 outbreak. It was only on 20 January 2020 when Beijing finally admitted the existence of human to human transmission.
But the surge in the number of confirmed infected cases and the sudden shutdown of Wuhan on 23 January probably encouraged several mainland Chinese journalists to overcome their fear of reprisal by reporting the real situation on the ground.
Caixin is one of the most well-known economic and finance news sites which had resisted the pressure from China’s propaganda department with its in-depth investigative reports.
A few days after prominent Chinese pulmonologist Dr. Zhong Nanshan’s confirmation about human to human transmission of the novel coronavirus was aired on China Central Television on 20 January, Caixin interviewed Hong Kong microbiologist Guan Yi who estimated that the scale of the COVID-19 outbreak could be 10 times bigger than the Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS) outbreak in 2003. But the warning was neglected as majority of the media outlets followed the propaganda authority’s instruction to avoid creating social panic in China.

Hubby keeps screaming that POTUS needs to stop tweeting/mentioning CV numbers, his successes w/stoping/preventing CV, etc.
Just let the American people know everything that is being done...leave the numbers/pat on the backs OUT, for now.
