(URGENT) S. Korea reports 476 more cases of new coronavirus, total now at 4,212
That's kind of what I'm banking on.
3,050 Coronavirus deaths this year over last two months (projected to 18,000 over a year IF remains steady)

Flu season is the time of year when you are most likely to get sick from the flu. In general, flu season can start anytime in late fall, peak in mid-to-late winter (usually January or February), and continue through early spring. On average, flu season lasts about 13 weeks.

The 4 new cases in Washington (including the 1 death and 3 others in critical condition) are all residents of the LifeCare skilled nursing facility which already reported 2 cases yesterday (1 employee & 1 resident), according to press release

Well, I was under the impression the one shot was good. Doc knew that and was apologetic about the second shot (I gathered it was an ‘advance’ over the first).
I don’t get the yearly flu shot after a bad experience with it in the 70s. Probably better now but...
So much about “comorbidity” with the covid.
Guess I will change my ways soon.
10% would be a disaster. 40%-70% would only be possible with a complete failure of our healthcare and public health infrastructure and a lack of any response to contain outbreaks. It would also require an immensely uninformed and ignorant public that refused to take personal precautions. Even if the government fails COMPLETELY, no one wants to be infected with a virus that is life threatening, and INDIVIDUALS will take precautions themselves once if they see a major breakout that overwhelms the system.
The only places where such failures might happen are backward countries like Iran and North Korea, and 3rd world sh**holes.
...Faster than Oprah on stage talking about balance.
Who do you think is paying for the beds? Medicare pays about 60-80% of its income. Why do you think elective surgery is such a big deal. That is how they keep the lights on in our not for profit hospital.
And Federal take over is not in any pandemic plan. They dont reserve rooms. I honestly dont want to sound like a know it all jerk...but thats not how this works.
In fact, the state as more authority in these cases than the Fed. The public health system from the feds doesnt have enough people to do that.
FEMA might get involved. Our state has resources, but not to take over multiple hospitals.
Probably all the RESIST people in Obama’s fundamentally transformed fedgov, just like Brennan’s security clearance not being revoked after Trump had ordered it to be. Now we have a C-virus task force and the RESIST people aren’t going to do what the task force says because it will reflect bad on Trump. They could care less if people die or get sick. There’s only the revolution.
Yeah, my wife is from Shanghai, Im not fond of the air there but like the food very much. (Definitely prefer the food in Shenzhen or Xiamen.)
Plus the way no one covers their mouth to sneeze or cough, and how frequently people get inside what I consider to be my personal space.
Actually China killed the Planet. Their lies about the severity initially were negligent. Everyone thinks they should have raised the alarm. We were already infected by the time China flights were closed. Schumer fought that. Everything after that initial China vectoring is icing on the cake.
Scientists found 222 nanometer far-UVC light was just as effective as broad spectrum UV light at killing and deactivating the aerosolized influenza virus. (and is safer)
Another new case Snohomish county, 40 year old, critical condition
BOL!
re: drivethru testing
lets just hope they dont take the foot off the brake when the swab is halfway into their sinuses!
THIRD CASE OF CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) IN SNOHOMISH COUNTY
SNOHOMISH COUNTY, Wash. The Snohomish Health District was notified late Sunday afternoon of a new case of COVID-19. The presumptive positive test result came back from the State Public Health Laboratory, bringing the total number of cases in Snohomish County to three. This number is expected to rise as more people are tested and results confirmed.
The new case is a male in his 40s, hospitalized at EvergreenHealth in Kirkland. The man is in critical condition.
The Health District is leading the effort to as quickly as possible identify close contacts of the new confirmed case. At this time, it appears to be another case of community transmission.
