I’m glad Trump is in office and started bringing businesses back here 3 years ago.
If they had waited until now, it would be far, far too late to do anything about it.
Can you imagine a quarantine in New Jersey or Cambridge. Although we did shut Boston down after the marathon bombing.
Someone explain why people are stocking up on water? Unless your water tastes bad and bottled is all one drinks, I dont understand how extra water would be needed during this virus.
I guess they are opposite between the chance is one in a thousand...and the odds are a thousand to one.
Either way its slim.
It used to be on ludes, but I think it has a different meaning.

And normalcy bias is defined in this situation as Its just the flu. And the government is acting in a way different than every flu since 1919.
Not for this occasion, but many people are on well water or pumped water. If the power goes out, you would run out of potable water. Or if the water gets infected. (You are better off with bleach...but whatever.)
So, yeah...they are getting water.
re: drivethru testing
let’s just hope they don’t take the foot off the brake when the swab is halfway into their sinuses
“I do not think US will be able to do the same.”
Likely correct.
We just won’t put up with it. And everyone has a car and there are roads everywhere going everywhere, from there. Wherever it may be.
That’s why this virus will become endemic. Like the flu.
If you’re on muni water, maybe your treatment chemicals come from China.
Maybe the muni workers get sick & can’t come to work.
Maybe they’re under quarantine.
Maybe the power goes out for a long time & the power workers are sick or under quarantine.
Dunno...just hypothesizing here.
Some people only drink bottled water and are getting enough for 4-6 weeks instead of just 1 or 2?
Here are some stats for you.

Did they say where?
I’m thinking “comorbidity” not substitution. (which I inquired about a few threads back).
Having other health problems well cared for may mean a big drop in cases needing critical or severe treatment regimes here. And fatalities.
Unfortunately, many promised - few delivered.
I’ve been trying to figure out why people are buying cases of water as well. I don’t get it.
One of my younger teenage girls seemed to be starting to faint in Mass...got her out to the car, took her down the road to a fast food place and got her a Dr.Pepper, seems fine now. I think it might have been a slightly warm church combined with worrying about CV. Nerves. Guess I have to quit talking about it in front of them. But I have emphasized repeatedly that young, healthy girls like them have very little to worry about. Sometimes a sensitive personality reacts that way, though. Going back to church to pick up the others...
A lot of kids here in WA State are quite worried about CV; others mock the threat just like here on FR.
