I posted a few days ago, and just now, that Mexico had done over 5,000 random tests on those suffering from symptoms of respiratory illness. Reiterated in post #811 above.
Thanks Vermont. Will do. I have masks if needed too. Will see what March brings.
*** Started seeing more masks during my last flight. Saw a few folks with them at the store today. Drip, drip... ***
I saw someone driving in my TX town of 20,000 that looked like a penguin. Then I realized they were wearing one of those full gear type gas mask respirators. Black with the whole military look.
I lived in Tacoma for a decade. I bet that the Tacoma and Lakewood Walmarts were crazy today. Ditto for the Tacoma Costco.
Do you mind telling me which one. Im in HoCo. Is it nearby?
Re: 794 - Thanks for the info.
I guess the question is - is re-infection atypical? Or not?
Was the woman from Osaka completely treated and “cured” (my word).
What was the sensitivity of the test used that was used to problem her “cured”.
Just too much information not known. I’m not comfortable calling reinfection “common” (again my word) to COVID-19 when it could be atypical.
Maybe.
I just thought it was a very interesting way to think about identifying where the pending break out is.
But I am sure wed spend a million hours debating the constitutionality of it.
No hand sanitizer on Amazon, either. They may be effective, need 70% alcohol and have to keep hands wet at least one minute. Thats 3 pumps each use by my trials, so they stuff goes quick.
Thanks!
Well, they have hand sanitizer on amazon, but just small sizes. No gallons. I think CDC got it all.
If you want to pay 40 bucks for 2 bottles. Lol.

I think they may be out, even the small ones say “available only from 3rd party sellers” and when you try to order you get a “no sellers can deliver to your location.” Interesting.
Well, CDC will be safe at least.
What a relief!
I think that nursing homes will be worse, but given that most prisoners aren’t in the best of shape in terms of drug use etc. you probably have a good point. And I imagine that getting them health care while keeping them confined appropriately will be a bear.
What did DOH conference say?
@kirklandgov
confirms with
@KIRO7Seattle
that “several” fire crews are in home quarantine following contact w/ two #coronavirus patients at Life Care Center. Those crews will be out of the mix for at least 14 days.
.
@kirklandgov
says there is a huge possible impact on emergency services given that so many rescuers are out. I’m told the city is relying on nearby departments to pickup the slack while those firefighters are out.
