Coronavirus (COVID-19) is now a pandemic. I explain why in this video.
COVID-19, which is caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus, is a PANDEMIC. It might not be an official declaration by the WHO, but, there is no question, that this is a pandemic.
The WHO already has a credibility problem with a lot of people, and thats only going to get worse the longer they delay calling COVID-19 a pandemic.
This reason this is a pandemic is that the endemic is now spreading in different continents.
Specifically, there is sustained transmission from person to person in people who have not recently been to China or have not been exposed to someone who was recently in China. Of course, we know about the 80,000 or so cases in Asia, with China, South Korea, and even Iran still being part of Asia, but the big news is the number of cases in Italy, and in the US as well....
I dont believe a word of this article!!!
I haven't seen anything to make me believe either of those claims. JMO but that's the way I see it as of now.
You don’t seem like the same SmokinJoe I recall from the bird flu threads. What’s up with that?
Do you work for Russia? Because underplaying this only helps Democrats. Trust your eyes, and look at what happened in China. Ignoring and denying is what got them in trouble. A strong response, like closing borders is a win-win. If nothing happens, take credit. If a pandemic happens, you did your best. Action is strong, denial is weak.
Study of 72,000 COVID-19 patients finds 2.3% death rate
Even the WHO which is bought off by China and is downplaying the virus is using those numbers.
Aylward said that across China, about 80% of cases are mild, about 14% are severe, and about 6% become critically ill. The case fatality rate the percentage of known infected people who die is between 2% and 4% in Hubei province, and 0.7% in other parts of China, he said. The lower rate outside of Hubei is likely due to the draconian social distancing measures China has put in place to try to slow spread of the virus. Other parts of China have not had the huge explosion of cases seen in Hubei, Aylward said.https://www.statnews.com/2020/02/25/new-data-from-china-buttress-fears-about-high-coronavirus-fatality-rate-who-expert-says/
Note that the fatality rate is lower when you take draconian action. So that's what we need to be ready to do. Pretending it isn't a big deal is what screwed China in the beginning. We can't make that mistake.
Russia huh? Don't make me laugh!
is that all you jokers can come up with?
Accuse President Trump and everyone who supports him with your “Russia” nonsense?
Go spread your garbage elsewhere.
I wasn't suggesting that we do.
Different guy. Similar monikers.
I watched his press conference and thought it was OK. But terrible luck that literally an hour after he says there will be zero new cases, we get the first case in California that isn’t connected directly to China. Not a fan of Pence being in charge either. Also, Chad Wolf, head of homeland security made a total fool of himself in front of Congress, so overall not doing great.
I’m not saying you aren’t taking it seriously, I’m saying that most of the country isn’t taking it seriously, and the government has botched the response so far. The biggest screw up being the CDC sending out defective test kits, and still not being able to start community testing even thou we are a good 6-8 weeks into this.
Ok, you’re right. He last posted 2017.
I'm glad you're in a position to assess that. I'm not.
Here is an American in Wuhan who seems to be taking things in stride and believes the Chinese government has done a pretty good job. He is obviously just a lay person though.
OANN - After Hours: Jacob Dominguez (Life in Wuhan) (youtube video 7:05)
What he said specifically was, “We could be at just one or two people over the next short period of time. So weve had very good luck.” Which is fine, but bad luck given the new case, which is the first community transmission, and almost certainly will lead to others getting sick at the first hospital where the didn’t know what he had.
As for YouTube docs talking about “COVID-19”, this one is level-headed too:

He seems highly credible. Thanks for posting.
Of note was the possibility that ACE-2 Inhibitors (BP meds) may reduce COVID infection rates. I’m taking one of the two he mentioned, Losartan.
