Ah, I see you have discovered my marking system to find where I have left off in a long thread...I don’t now if I could be so bold as to use the Number 1...so dashing!

Hi Redcitizen. . . I see you signed up here around the same time as I did. Your video link at #309 got messed up.
The song reminds me of Delta blues, but in a fast super-charged version.

Oh I meant to use a . Whoops
Might even be worse then that. Survivors may need to take anti virals the rest of their lives. Just like aids. People just dont get the seriousness here. Which is kinda good right now. Since quite a few would be running around naked with their hair on fire. Based on past experiences lol.
ah...that’s better. Understated but says exactly what you want it to say...
You know, I was wondering about that. Luckily we have the perfect anti-viral it seems. The real problem is for those 60 and above. Because of age, we have “conditions” like high blood pressure, obesity, possible diabetes, etc...These conditions are exacerbated by the Coronavirus and a re-infection means organs can be destroyed, etc. We have also seen the videos of seemingly healthy people falling face down in the street and twitching like an electrified eel...

Bothell High School closing Thursday for cleaning due to coronavirus concerns
BOTHELL, Wash. The superintendent of Northshore School District said Wednesday in an email to families one of its high schools will be closed Thursday after a staffer’s family member was placed in quarantine for possible coronavirus.
Northshore School District superintendent Michelle Reid said Bothell High School will be closed Thursday “out of an abundance of caution.”
Reid said a staff member at Bothell High School returned to work Monday after a week of international travel. ***The staffer said a family member traveling with them became sick Tuesday and was taken to the hospital. The family member is being treated, monitored and quarantined at the hospital for possible coronavirus***. The test results for the sicked family member may take 5-7 days.
Reid said the school staffer is not sick, but remains in self-quarantine at their home.

I actually posted that on another thread earlier, thinking about why China was pushing so hard to steal the patent for Remdesivir. Chinese pharma company BrightGene is already producing a copy of the drug themselves, and the Wuhan Institute of Virology had applied for a patent. But that would be paranoid, and it looks like Gilead and China reached some kind of deal just a few hours ago to approve Gilead’s Chinese patent.

Good call. Wait for tests. Plural...
Just like the Cat in Dune. Man. Did not see that coming. Lol. It was a Chinese cat I think. No. Siamese? Ah. Dont know cats well, apparently.
Even when a hospital receives a case they believe to be CV, and request testing, CDC says NO. I really hope no one was exposed due to the CDC’s incompetence, but if the doctors were so concerned, why did they wait so long to implement airborne precautions and contact precautions? And WTH is with an additional 3 day delay getting the results?
Why would survivors need to take life long anti virals. Its not like chicken pox/shingles where it lays dormant in your body and resurfaces.
Because you dont get immunity, does not mean it lays dormant and can be reactivated. Two different things.
I understand that. I’m not saying CV goes dormant. I’m speculating that in the “relapse” cases, after the lungs are cleared and patient tests neg, the patients must still have the infection in other areas, maybe organs, muscles, etc.
I think it’s unlikely they were re-exposed and re-infected, especially since some were still isolating alone at home like the most recent case in Japan.
