Agreed it could appear to abate in the spring/summer. But then roar back in the autumn. Didn’t the Spanish Flu do something similar?
Its funny because just as my wife (the history major) left for work she remarked about how this is like the Flu of 1917. That really caught me because everything I have seen in the medical literature mentions the Flu of 1918. Remember the uptick in Parkinsons in the 60s? How that was secondary to the Flu of 1918?
Isnt that curious? Historians talk about the flu of 1917 but medically it is the Flu of 1918?
