Probably, but takes them one month right now to restock office supplies. Walmart and Target. And I am noticing items made in China are getting less and less there and not getting restocked. Fairly soon now, when the deep state actually realizes their bat is out of control, they will start taking ownerships of goods for themselves. Of course they will say it’s being nationalized for the common good.

VERY interesting as concerns the actual tests.

I wonder if anyone anywhere has published a comprehensive list of currently available tests for COVID-19, complete with descriptions understandable by, say, most on this thread, and a rundown on pros and cons of each. It’d also be interesting to know which countries are using which test as their primary means of detection. (In a country like China, some mention of “clinical” determinations probably should be mentioned too.)

This article need not be TOO long / detailed- maybe 2000 words max.?

A 3 month shutdown saved St. Louis from the flu pandemic. Might be able to handle it as a business. Prepping sure has helped.

Mount a fake camera above it. Cheaper than a box of masks.

(Oh, boy, now there’ll be a run on fake cameras...)

IF you’re very careful you can reuse them for other things.

Other things... like bait. But then you really want to use bags that won't leak. ;-)

We use the reuse ones for things like leftover bags of chips, the half head of lettuce or cabbage we save for next time, etc. They’re also great to put socks/underwear/etc in to keep them from being lost in your suitcase.

Stuff I wouldn’t use a ‘new’ one for but will reuse and reuse until they literally fall apart for.

I wonder if someone responsible would like to start a thread devoted to questions for that 6 pm (EST, I assume) Presidential News Conference? I expect the MSM to be mostly a pile of poop. But if GOOD questions could “go viral”, so to speak, maybe a couple would get asked.

I’d do it, but I have a lot to do this afternoon - I shouldn’t even be here (FR) now.

Questions should be limited to the disease, what happened with the US testing and what can be done to match countries like South Korea in their testing efforts, and so on. How infectious is the disease, what is in the works for critical supply chain items (meds in particular, specific items if appropriate), and so on. Can China, in our disease control experts’ opinion get back to near full production without causing large scale new outbreaks?

I’m sure FReepers can come up with many more. ;-)

No references to Deep State plots, bioweapons, and so on to muddy things up!

This needs to be more like a talk a level headed person would have with their doctor about, say, a moderate symptom that person has noticed recently that might be related to a risk factor that runs in the family.

I expect a lot of “detail” questions to be redirected to the CDC reps, etc., and that’s ok. The President is not a medical expert and we don’t expect him to be one.

the point of concern would be the private transportation and hotels the crews use. Cargo is netted and palletized so the load doesn’t shift during flight. These pallets are unloaded with either a forklift or scissorlifts, put on a truck and offloaded at the airport warehouse for sorting or staging. The ground crew will have no contact with the flight crew. and neither will the warehouse folks. The flight crew are regulated by FAA regulations to travel to and from the hotel as a group on private vehicles, check temps 2x day and subject to 14 day quarantine. Since there’s no stewardesses, it will be the Captain who is designated to report any sickness enroute. Flight crew being generally intelligent people with a vested interest in staying infection-free, they wouldn’t cover for a sick crewmember. I’d put air cargo in the low-risk category.

I have often thought that some real patriots held their positions in the stock market after 9/11 instead of selling.

I am not criticizing those who felt they had to sell. But I appreciated those who held and bought.

*** You should try the HEB chili. Not the one in the red can but the white and brownish label. Maybe has “Texas” in the name (can’t be bothered to go look). They were on sale with a store coupon (the only coupons my HEB accepts!) for BOGO ***

I was at HEB at 6 am. They hadn't put out the new coupons yet Our BOGO was buy Wolf brand chili, get rotel tomatoes & ranch style beans free.

Glad I went early. The front page of our local paper today is:
