Okay, does it strike anyone else as odd that this was announced on the CA DOJ website?

“California Department of Justice is the first accredited state crime lab in North America to fully sequence mitochondrial DNA”

They claim it’s to identify unknown remains. I don’t trust them; they don’t want to prosecute criminals anyway.
