“I’m hoping I lose enough weight that I don’t need ‘em...”

Come to think of it, as the shortages move into the food supply, perhaps we won’t need as much meds for blood pressure and diabetes, and possibly many other conditions.

I think you meant that in the kindest of ways.

It can be taken in others. I’ve read One Second After twice, several years apart. The second time had a bigger impact in some ways, because my youngest daughter had been diagnosed with Type I diabetes in-between.

“Fortunately” I think that insulin is still produced in North America, and that this is likely to be a lot kinder than an EMP.

But I tend to be an optimist.

That would be an upside. I grew up in the 70s and still like slim girls in Levis. Never liked the scrawny ones. I’m so sick of looking at fat people these days.
