I’m sick of seeing pictures of “royalty” on the covers on magazines in the USA, and seeing “the royal couple” followed around by photographers on TV. The USA does not have royalty. The revolution got rid of the monarchy’s influence in the USA - or did it? Millions of Americans are fascinated by Britain’s “royalty.”
I think the “royal family” lost a lot of its shine with the whole Charles/Diana thing; I don’t know anyone under 80 who cares about them at all.
Why shouldn’t Americans closely follow the doings of Britain’s royals? Women like it, and the endless drama of Britain’s low life, grifting royals has no off-season and is a useful fill-in when better diversions like traffic wrecks, a pro ball game, or professional wrestling are momentarily lacking.

The fact this is even newsworthy is ridiculous
“Millions of Americans are fascinated by Britains royalty.”
This is like watching a train wreck in slow motion! It is ENTERTAINMENT. Me-Gain is like a participant on a really bad reality show. Ball-less Harry is no better. And then there is the Crazy Uncle who like young girls, although not as young as Uncle Joe likes....
That’s because it’s a natural part of being human.

I feel like the British Royal Family is their version of the American Kardashians.
The influence we should monitor is that of young, woke idiots and their potential to remain influential beyond their youth.
Meghan polled extraordinarily well with young Brits, who also tend to hate the Monarchy. Her exile in Canada is likely not permanent, but a respite until the Queen and Charles pass away. Then, she and her husband Mr Markel will return to Windsor, and perhaps if they are popular enough, dethrone the proper Royals.
Impossible? Today. But maybe not tomorrow, especially if England's culture and history are discarded by their youth.
And the reason we Yanks should care, is because we stand in a similar square...we, too, may equally suffer if we don't pay attention.
