The water bottles are convenient when driving, hiking, biking, etc. You could refill them from the faucet or fridge but we are lazy:)

I grew up in northern Michigan and we had our own well but it was iron water. I never drank it either........Experts say we should drink "X" amount of water per day but the only water I ever drank was from the school drinking fountain. Water is over rated...LOL!

Our public water leaves brown stains in the tub/shower, so I dont drink it!!! We grew up using that, unfiltered. Dad used to joke that it put hair on your chest. But the brown stain was only due to tannic acid. Later one a filtration plant was built and which removed it.
