Everywhere else: 999 cases, 5 deaths, 39 serious/critical

Westchester County seems downright flippant, regarding their potential cases.
Probably at least as long as Ebola. 24 day quarantine. Virus lives in semen 6 months so don’t have sex. May have recurrences years later so may never fully shed.

I don’t want to have a conspiracy theory about the western world. That’s why I don’t understand why I read that someone in Napa has tested positive and 14 people testing positive are back home in the US but the numbers don’t budge. I don’t think chaos would explain that here.

Yes, absolutely! The Americans must be feeling happy to be taken care off, some credit must go to the Trump administration. The Brits are still in distress.
I am still shocked how many people out of 2000 passengers got infected so quickly to the new virus, in a cruising period of only a few days. My guess is no one has resistance to it because it is a brand new virus. Which also means it could go viral around the world real fast. Japan already has lot of infected people. And it did not begin in a fish market in Wuhan, China! Guess where the only lab doing research on this particular virus is located? Wuhan city in China.
I know they are part of the cruise evacuees, I just don’t know if they are part of the 14 infected (tested positive in Japan) or newly tested positive in CA. If they are new positives, it will be 30 or 31 cases, not 29.

You are looking at this too closely. If we go a day with a report, then get concerned. You expect this people looked at the plan before a week ago. They are still getting their sea legs.
Just like any process, they need to figure out the details. Telling us is a detail.

I agree. There are superspreaders in Germany, England, Japan, Singapore and now South Korea. I’m talking one person infecting 10 or more. You know there has to be more of these worldwide.
Yes, but a hospital my son works at has a tent outside to check them, they don’t go into the main hospital for a flu test.

Yes...we were discussing the possibility of this virus being developed...and released...on purpose, in the first days it was being reported.
Those who even suggested such a possiblity sure took a lot of grief, from many naysayers....who are now, hopefully, realizing the distinct possibility. Even Sen Cotton is mentioning this.
