The granddaughter of a 92-year-old woman who was allegedly raped and murdered in New York City last month has blamed sanctuary policies for her death.
President Donald Trump invited Daria Ortiz, 19, one of victim Maria Fuertes’ grandchildren, onto the stage to speak during a border security event at the White House on Feb. 14, where she told the audience that her grandmother would still be alive if it wasn’t for the controversial policy.
A visibly emotional Ortiz began her speech by telling the audience that her grandmother had legally immigrated to the United States from the Dominican Republic and was a “very generous and educated woman” who “dedicated her time to helping others.”

Exactly. 2017 was when de Blasio was last elected mayor of NYC, making this young lady no older than 17 at that time. IN addition, I don’t see where it says the young lady lives. Just the grandmother.
“allegedly raped and murdered” -— Bad writing. She WAS raped and murdered, allegedly by the defendant.
What difference does that make? I watched Daria’s speech on utube. Very moving. Before coming to the USA legally, Maria was secretary to the Pres of the Dominican Republic. This happened in Queens, NY. Trumps mom was beaten and assaulted in Queens in 1991.
On utube Trumps says allegedly. Then says lawyers put that word in , but I’m taking it out.
Like I wrote. It makes no difference. Shouldnt have happened.
