Here's a classic example of a President inserting himself into a criminal investigation.
In the early 1940’s, the IRS wanted to indict Congressman Lyndon Johnson for criminal income tax evasion. As LBJ was one of the few Deep South Democrats who were fervent New Dealers, FDR intervened and ordered the IRS to drop the indictment and end the investigation.
If that is not presidential interference, I don't know what is.

If the GOPe didn’t have double standards they’d have no standards at all. When was the last time McConnell rushed to a TV interview to support POTUS against the coup? Never. I knew as soon as Barr gave that interview that the GOP Senate would use it as a deflection to undermine POTUS. Sure enough McConnell appears on Fox a couple hours later and tries to mute POTUS.

It’s so ridiculous to henpeck POTUS on his tweets while the coup fire rage out of control at Main Justice. IF his own party supported him there would be little need for using twitter.
