Democratic presidential candidate Bernie Sanders said it's "very unfortunate" a rule change could allow his fellow presidential candidate Mike Bloomberg into the next Democratic debates. The qualifications no longer include a unique-donor threshold.
"That is what being a multi-billionaire is about. Some very good friends of mine who were competing in the Democratic nomination - people like Cory Booker of New Jersey, Julián Castro - work really, really hard. Nobody changed the rules to get them in the debate," he said on "CBS This Morning" Friday.
"But I guess if you're worth $60 billion, you can change the rules. I think that is very, very unfortunate," he added.
Sanders has been critical of Bloomberg using his wealth to run for president since he entered the race.
When asked to respond to a recent Quinnipiac University poll with black voters that put Bloomberg and former Vice President Joe Biden ahead of him, Sanders expressed confidence in his support from minority communities.

Sanders is correct. They shouldnt just change the rules to allow Bloomberg in just because hes rich
Like an old man sending a billionaire back in the deli.
Still waiting for Bernie to share some of his millions with the workers.
This is starting to get amusing.
This sounds like it is actually very racist. Kamala, Cory, Duval, etc. should be very upset about this.
if you didn’t have a winning candidate, you might decide to just sell the nomination, too?
All Rats are equal but only those who they deem most expedient for the moment.
maybe it would look a bit fairer if the DNC just put its nomination up for Ebay auction
If the democrat rules mean nothing, I wonder if President Trump can run as incumbent, democrat and republican candidate? To some rats who, shouldn’t be voting, it probably wouldn’t matter.
No problem Bloomberg will just send in his hired stand in$$$$$$$.
Just like he got city council to change rules to allow 3rd term for mayor.
Bernie, are you listening? Dont put up with this! Lay the groundwork for a third-party run.
I think Bernie is wrong and here’s why. Bloomberg, in my opinion, got into the race late, and dropped millions on ads precisely because he’s awful in person. His ads do the campaigning for him. Once he starts speaking, his delivery is smug, nasal, sanctimonious. Like Mrs Clinton, he’ll do better the less people see of him.
So get him out there, and let him go.
Bernie, quit your whining. Everyone knows that you’re going to bend over and take it like the elderly beta male that you are! You let down all the “Bros” before, and you’ll do it again - cuz they were stupid enough to come back for more. Just give your mic to two teenage BLM chicks and step down now, before POTUS destroys you.
It would look a bit fairer if the DNC just put its POTUS nomination up for Ebay auction.
Check out my new tagline:
$60 Billion is much much much bigger than 4 Million.
The leadership of the urban division of America’s money party doesn’t want you to win Bernie.
The children of politicians aren’t paid millions for being on corporate boards except for cause.
