Happy Valentines Day.
There are currently 67,100 confirmed cases worldwide, including 1,526 fatalities.
That is disturbing.
I predict the world will be a completely different place by the Tokyo Olympics and nobody is going to care about them any longer.
Ping to me
these stupid Chicoms have unleashed a bio-bug on the world. The entire country should be quarantined, economics be damned.
I highly recommend the War Room: Pandemic interviews. Steve Bannon is having some of the leading doctors/scientists on, talking about the virus, its spread, what is really happening in China, how it affects our national security, etc. I personally think its the best info available, coming from folks who work in the field (virus hunters, etc.), not the Fake News reporter/reporterettes spinning a narrative. Episode 17 was today.
Flights from China into Hawaii daily? Or do you mean the US in general?
I thought flights from China into the US were being restricted. Maybe that was just from Wuhan area, like that’s the only place with it...
Is there any place that has summaries, transcripts, anything printed? I’d love to know what is being said but computer limitations.
That is scary for Alaska, where anybody w/ 5 extra bucks in their pocket goes to Hawaii in Jan or Feb.
great share thanks
It pretty much already is...but it's too late.
then carpet bombing the sob’s is in order. They wanted to kill God only knows who, let them reap what they have sown.
You will probably be able to get a room in a nice hotel pretty cheap in the near future.
It is here.
The bug is in the US. Hundreds of thousands of Chinese students in the US. Many went home over the Christmas break. The bug was running wild then. Many other Chinese fled before the quarantine. Heck, local hotels have a large increase of people from the PRC.
I suspect the CDC knows this. Knows it is running wild, and doesn’t have any idea what to do. The recent announcements, the talk of the DOD implementing pandemic plans... If I see a bunch of new National Guard and Reserve activation then we will know.
So to answer you question, we (North America) are about to find out.
Update to earlier news item:
United flight from San Francisco is one of EIGHT planes put on lockdown at London Heathrow after passengers are suspected of having coronavirus - which has now infected 15 people in the US
United Airlines Flight 901 from San Francisco was placed on lockdown after landing at London’s Heathrow Airport on Friday morning
The captain told passengers someone on board might have coronavirus, which is now named SARS-CoV-2
Flight was among eight planes that have been simultaneously been put on lockdown on the Heathrow tarmac
A passenger on board said airline staff took a passenger to the back of the plane and waited for health officials to arrive
He said the other passengers were eventually allowed to disembark but the sick person was kept behind and their luggage was separated from everyone else
San Francisco International Airport is among 11 locations through which all flights from China to the US are being funneled for coronavirus screening
I have little doubt it is a result of biological warfare development by China.
Someone trying to get ahead of forced quarantine in San Fran.
and in other news, a massive outbreak of SARS-CoV-2 has swept through SF with disastrous results. /s (maybe)
CORONAVIRUS UPDATE: Fighting Outbreak, China Urged Open Borders. Even Allies Are Resisting.
In Beijing and elsewhere, Chinese diplomats have pitched the crisis as a test of friendship, calling on foreign governments not to suspend travel links with China or to evacuate their citizensmeasures Beijing decries as unnecessary, fear-inducing and unfriendly.
True friendship emerges in times of adversity, Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Hua Chunying has repeated in recent weeks.
It generally hasnt worked. Three of the biggest U.S. airlines American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and United Airlineshave suspended passenger flights between the two countries, as have the national carriers of France, Britain, Egypt, Qatar and Vietnam, among others. More than a dozen countries have slapped entry restrictions on Chinese nationals or people who have recently been in China. . . .
Despite Beijings pleas, a number of countriesincluding governments that China counts as close partnershave put domestic concerns first.
North Korea, whose isolated government counts Beijing as a vital ally, was the first country to seal its border with China in January. Russia, another friend, closed land crossings with China and suspended visa-free travel between the two countries.
China has influence, but it fades when the chips are down.

Example of enhanced droplet/airborne personal protective equipment for intubation of patient with suspected or confirmed novel coronavirus (2019-nCoV) incorporating fit-tested N95 mask. Healthcare staff preparing to enter a room to intubate a patient with suspected or confirmed 2019-nCoV. Note use of fluid-resistant gown, covering of head and neck plus face shield to minimize skin exposure to droplet contamination. Additional eye protection worn under the face shield may help to avoid conjunctival exposure from spray around the shield. Fit-tested N95 mask is worn to protect against inhalation of airborne virus. Strips of tape securing gloves to the gown help prevent gloves from slipping during patient care and exposing wrists to contamination
