What is an SDR?

SDR - Stands for-Special Drawing Rights - Created by the IMF in 1969 as a type of monetary reserve currency for international use.

A few years ago, they voted to incorporate a basket of currencies as their unit of measure to include the Chinese currency. This will tend to reduce the USA influence and increase the Chinese influence in the International Finance Area.

They have been used in the past during periods of financial problems. So not a new concept. Just that they are planning to expand and change the International System at some point.
