Last year after I met my out-of-pocket Max of $4,000, I went to a family physician that ordered all sorts of tests. I did quite a few of them, all negative. This year I’m going to a different doctor. I haven’t met my out-of-pocket Max and I don’t feel like paying for anything unless there’s something specific i might have. This lady doctor was known for being thorough, but like you said it could just be a cya thing. Or trying to get more money to her employers. They have labs and everything there that did all of the testing in house.

I had a $4000 deductible last year too, and met it plus the annual cap. This year I have $75 deductible so that’s going to help a lot, especially since I have to spend so much traveling.
