I'm thinking of going to the convention in Charlotte and there is nothing on the website that refers to it. Just put down your email address, phone number and click to donate. Trump is fighting our enemies alone and the RNC appears just to go along for the ride. I stopped contributing years ago for reasons you all can understand. Doesn't seem any different now. That's $1-5k they're passing up. I don't think the Democrats are this lackadaisical.
I don’t disagree. I give directly to Trump, Freereepublic, and Judicial Watch. Oh I did donate to my local GOP senator.
If you do have spare money, pick your candidates and contribute directly. Otherwise you’re enabling the old guard there...totally useless (or worse) people.
Don’t contribute to RNC. Just send donations to Trump Campaign.

....and you think none of that money you donate goes to the RNC or to GOP re-election committees if the person you’re giving to is an incumbent? Better learn how the system works.

Beats me, it could go to the party, if they don’t want/need it. But still not as bad as me giving it straight to the party.

I don’t get it... Are you a candidate for office? Are you a delegate for Trump from your state’s party? If you’re neither of them, the national convention isn’t really a public place.
That isn’t the National committee. That is your state Republican Party. Get involved. Make it better

Kingu-I went to the convention in 96’(san Diego) knowing Dole would lose. Cost me $1k and had a good time. There was another group that paid $5k that got more attention by the party big wigs. My group got to rub elbows with 2 that were GOP pariahs at the time: Oliver North and John Sununu. I’d still like to go and party with everyone but it wouldn’t be to get my pic taken with the grandstanders. I expect this year’s convention to be like a super bowl party-successful people looking for an excuse to spend their money. In S.D. I met a lot of horney middle-aged women.
