Reminds me of Zambia’s space program in the 1960’s. To train them for conditions in space, prospective astronauts were stuffed into oil drums which were then rolled down hillsides, and they rode on swings made from automobile tires to simulate weightlessness.
Zambia aspired to send the first astronaut to the moon until “foreign elements” sabotaged its space program.
We all watched the first episode of Star Trek.
We all decided we wanted to be astronauts.
We started a training program.
We were at my friend Davids house, so he got first shot in the astronaut trainer.
It was a clothes dryer.
David only lasted a few seconds in the astronaut training program.
His Mom sent us all home.
