I spent a LOT of time with the wool ‘rovings’ when I was at Wisconsin Craft Mart, yesterday. To the point that someone asked me if I needed help, LOL!
I said, “Thank you! I’m getting all the ‘therapy’ I need right here!” :)
I’m considering Angora Rabbits for the same reason. But, that won’t happen until we get the new pole barn built so they have a safe place to live.
I had rabbits in my early teens as pets, so I’m very fond of them. None were Angora, but the first one I had was cat litter trained, walked on a figure 8 cat harness, sat in my lap while I was doing homework - really great rabbit. At the moment, I can’t deal with pets, so I’m trying to talk my niece into getting some Angora rabbits for her little girls. They just got “Silkie” chickens ... they look & feel soft so I do consider Silkie chickens a step in the right direction, we just need to exchange some feathers for spinnable fur! :-)
