This is really very pretty. Unfortunately, B Hooked didn't explain how she did this ... hopefully, she'll post something soon!

Her comment (FB post): "One of my favorite things about crochet is how changing just the placement of a stitch can give you a whole new look. This Catherine wheel stitch now looks like scales!"

LOVE the colors in that scarf. Just a simple shell stitch to start. :)

A local group that crochets/knits for charity posted this yesterday - very cute lovies and the kids will love them. I have started two stuffed 'toys' (in crochet) & have finished neither - it appears that stuffed items and/or amigurumi are just not my 'thing', but I suspect I could manage one of these - just the head & the rest a small blanket.

If you go to the From The Heart Stitchers website, they have quite a few free patterns in both knit & crochet that make fine gifts for charity and even for your own use. Their knitted basic fingerless mitten pattern is the one I am using for my 'Mitten Madness' knitting binge.

Looks like one of the lovies is a Baby Yoda, which is all the rage these days and why not ... he's so stinkin' CUTE! :-)
