I’m just speculating here but did President Trump agree to have the vote after the SOU on Tuesday as he is going to go nuclear on them and expects the acquittal will be MORE dems voting for acquittal so it does not appear partisan?

Anything is possible, but it is Washington DC-and it ain’t called the SWAMP for nothing—filled to the top with swamp critters, backstabbers, and alligators.
However, I am sure that POTUS has contingencies planned for best and worst case scenarios and anything in between.
