Not to do with your post, just an observation on programming, or rather being programmed.
I opened my fridge today (not an unusual event) and saw the cool whip my husband had taken out of the freezer. Cool whip is nothing special, but this is 2020.
A commercial from back in the day came to mind..the words Cool Whip, Comes whipped; its that first modern topping with that good old-fashioned taste it was Cool Whips start..and who remembers that when they buy cool whip?
Then I recalled how I bought my first car (this is not about me btw, trying to make a point) the commercial? New Nissan Sentra! You Need This Car!
I did need that car...and I bought it (btw, it was a damn good car) but thats not the issue..the car I had was fine.
It seems weve been led by the nose, what to purchase, what to believe, I didnt need that Nissan, its just that my good running Buick Apollo wasnt cool...
Im hoping Im not the fool again, it seems Ive discovered something new, but not new...new to me....
Im thinking that folks like me are who Qis trying to reach, and we can be such a dense bunch.
Well, my debate couch in high school gave me a book to read. It was all about that sneaky advertising/programming stuff. I don't recall the name.
I have never bought a car because it was cool, and usually only when my current car was on it's last legs and constantly needing repairs.
I did check out Consumer Reports to look at the long repair and reliability history. My best car ever was a dodge colt wagon—Mitsubishi engine— manual. Drove it for 250,000 miles, and gave it to my daughter.
Her husband overhauled it-had 1 bad piston or something-can't recall exactly. She drove it until someone ran into her and totaled it.
