The NFL is lost to me. I followed them for decades, worked for ABC News / Sports - Howard Cosell, Frank Gifford, Monday Night Football... I think they began to lose me when they told Rush Limbaugh he was not fit to be an owner in the league.
Add suspected murderers, studs cold cocking their escorts in an elevator -- the worse it got the less the NFL fought for its integrity.
I actually wrote Roger Goodell early in his leadership and predicted that he would run the league down. It must have made him determined to prove me right. When Colin Kaepernjck began his anti-American stooping I actually thought Goodell would discipline him since it was against league rules not to stand in respect for the flag.
Of course Goodell threw out the rule book. A good pointless protest was far more important than millions of fans and their billions of dollars. I suppose a large portion of the fans have migrated back to the fold in the aftermath of Kaepernick. I am not one of them. This NFL thug in South Florida attacking a delivery driver recently has strengthened my resolve.
Of course the NFL will support a drag queen commercial; next they will attack Donald Trump... maybe the Constitution, the church, the family... etc. I will not be watching.
