Just listened to a podcast with Steve Hatfield. Remember him ? He says they have to put infected in special holding areas away from hospital. Otherwise the hospitals shutdown and normal services are not available. Unused schools, bases, malls, etc. should be used for infected.
I went back to look at it. It says they will share. It doesn’t say that they will censor or stop anything. No editor in the US would put up with that.
I think this just means they get the papers before they are published.

Even at a constant R0 value of 1.5 you are 100% certain to be exposed eventually.
And by a simple reading of the news it’s easy to discern it is much higher. Not to mention the extent of China’s official reaction, which you have previously dismissed as an effort to soften the impact of poor economic performance.
Actions which significantly dull performance further.
