#Wuhan resident Chen Min, 65, died within 10 days of developing fever, cough. Docs never tested her for #coronavirus. She's not incl in official govt count of 56 dead & suggests scale of problem is *far* greater than #China has acknowledged https://t.co/XXB5SsNqFk @Telegraph— Sophia Yan (@sophia_yan) January 26, 2020

“So far, and assuming published data is accurate (!), the contravirus has relatively high CFR of 3% (in line with smallpox but way lower than influenza’s 0.1%) but the PC is very low for the tens of millions of quarantined folks. Thus, it’s like AIDS.”

This statement is factually inaccurate and misleading.

Your definition of CFR is accurate. The infected and not yet dead or recovered are a null set. You’re using post-event math on dynamic data.

She and her husband would have done better for themselves and others by staying home. Dragging him out into the rain with other sick people isn’t doing him or her any good not to mention spreading whatever he has and picking up whatever the crowds have.

Hospitals are overwhelmed because anyone with a cold, sniffles or anything respiratory are going there to get ‘checked’....not because they have the virus...

I went ahead and prep yesterday. I purchase three month supply of food (restock my selves). Also have three months of dog food. I have mask that will arrive on Monday.

If I start seeing more cases pop up in the US I will see if I can get my siblings and Mother to prep again. Currently they think it is fake articles / news on the internet.

To prep all you have to do is stock your groceries up like you would do for a hurricane or ice storm. You just need to add Mask, gloves, cleaning supplies(beach / disinfectant goods) and etc.

California Case in Orange County.

Still no follow-up from Thursday when they quarantined a man who deplaned with systems on a flight lading from Mexico City-Lax.

Good idea on gas. I need to top off my gas cans and cars. I also have a bunch of propane tank to fill.

I normally do this every year (Feb / March) for weather reasons.

"Risk assessment: outbreak of acute respiratory syndrome associated with a novel coronavirus, China; First cases imported in the EU/EEA; second update"

On the basis of the information currently available, ECDC considers that:

the potential impact of 2019-nCoV outbreaks is high

further global spread is likely

there is currently a moderate likelihood of infection for EU/EEA citizens residing in or visiting Wuhan, Hubei province, China

there is a high likelihood of further case importation into countries with the greatest volume of people who have travelled from Wuhan, Hubei Province (i.e. countries in Asia)

there is a moderate likelihood of further case importation into EU/EEA countries; adherence to appropriate infection prevention and control practices, particularly in healthcare settings in EU/EEA countries with direct links to Hubei, means that the likelihood of a case detected in the EU resulting in secondary cases within the EU/EEA is low

the impact of the late detection of an imported case in an EU/EEA country without the application of appropriate infection prevention and control measures would be high, therefore in such a scenario the risk of secondary transmission in the community setting is estimated to be very high.

Bet the other passengers were ever so grateful she filled out the health card. Sounds about as effective as a restraining order.

"They imported active Ebola patients, they did nothing about plague in San Fransisco's China Town, they closed immigrant screening at Ellis Island, They've thrown open our borders, they import jihadis as fast as they can, they create sanctuary cities, they release violent felons, they refuse to cooperate with ICE, and they allow their streets to be overrun with rats and to be covered in poop and needles."

Keep voting democrat, cuz they care so much about you.

With the conditions of their pig and chicken farms, wildlife (with the exception of bats and rats) would likely be healthier.
