I think we should cut a deal with Schmuer that will allow him to save what’s left of the Dem party in exchange for no interference of judicial nominees and immigration issues in the future. Chuck is in a no-win position and everyone knows it so allow him to quietly end this farce, but with a price.

Senate Democrats (especially under the leadership of Harry Reid) have a long history of reneging on deals with Republicans after getting their side of the deal.
