Ack, they’re still not saying where the mystery patient is. However, the spokesperson admitted the patients are being asked to self isolate meaning not to spend “too much time” in crowds.

I’ve seen it reported that they HAVE called in their military but I don’t know how credible the reports are. That’s the problem with the epicenter being in China. Who knows what to believe?

Most medium sized hospitals (300-500 beds) have a couple dozen beds in ICU. Another bunch in intermediate care with telemetry. The rest are med/surg and ortho. With some baby rooms.
And many of those places do not have the physical beds to go to two in a room. Getting the hospital beds would take months.
Add another 50 spots in the ER, and you might be able to get 700 bodies in a hospital.
There is not enough staff. And the wise nurses will stay home. Certainly the janitorial staff and admin support staff are going to weigh the danger and stay home.
Systems will fail ( they need constant attention.)
In a week, it will look like something in Somalia.
The ones I got, $2 each, are at 2 % bleach component.
I would think anyone without eye protection would also be susceptible even if masked.
