We simply are not going to know for a time, what the likely true story is. I do think it’s a good Idea, to try to post all these related stories to a single area-such as replying to one post. That way simply hitting the view reply would line them all up together for easy scanning and review —might be helpful to formulating a conclusion a few days from now.
Regarding animal - human transmission—an effective bio weapon would be like this as an example:
Animal(suppose pigs-they’ve been sick) gets sick and infection spreads mutates jumps to human, spreads in humans and mutates and jumps back to animals. Virus mutates fast enough to stay ahead of any vaccine. Virus is deadly enough to kill many people and animals. This is double whammy-kills people and those that live can starve due to reduction of food sources.
At this time, a lot of our questions simply do not matter. What matters is - there’s a new virus spreading - normal preparations such as for any flu season and stocked pantry and medical supplies are prudent. Staying out of crowds and away from mass transit such as airports where travelers might be arriving from infected areas.
Track the news, but don’t be panicked by LSM fear porn.

Observe : communicate, be aware, absorb new information, stay current
Orient.. : evaluate your situation, consider possible options and alternatives.
Decide.. : make an honest evaluation with no emotional attachment; overcome ‘normalcy biases ‘
Act ......: after an honest evaluation, make the decision to act, and then do it !
The WHO now reports fatality rate of 2 1/2% from the Wuhan virus (airborne pneumonia).
Act accordingly with a three week domestoic supply of:
a N 95 face mask, or better, plus latex gloves,
extra domestic supplies, disinfectant, hand soap, food supplies, etc.,so that you don’t have to go out shopping if it rages in your neighborhood.
Take a recent lesson from the Chinese quarantine.
Remember to be : pro active, rather than reactive !
Remember the OODA loop .
If contagion is raging in your neighborhood,
the last place you want to be is where all the sick folks are concentrated in large numbers !
Also, if the hospital is being overwhelmed, you will not receive individual attention
- you become one of the mass numbers and will be ignored.
Prepare and be self-aware.
As an offensive weapon, an effective biological agent must be able to be controlled, otherwise it may kill your own folks and override your attempts to have a vaccine. If you don't care who or how many are killed, your scenario makes sense. If this is a DS TEOTWAYKI, then they are off to a poor start. If it is a f up from a lab expecting more localized untraceable results eg stop Chink protesters, than like most of the latest Chinese repressions this hasn't worked as hoped as the cat they had hoped to make into stew and keep secret has managed to escape the bag.
As for fear porn it has been widely effective as mortality rates for a disease with an unknown and disputable contagious latency is reported as widely varying. That brings to question the coronavirii's mortality potential, but that really isn't an issue if fear is the real result desired. This fear somewhat mirrors other Chinese origins: H1N, SARS for example. Craziness and speculation unrivaled before Y2K. DS didn't even need to sacrifice Jimmy as this scarefest is getting more press than the worst President in my lifetime death would garner.
N 95 masks are currently sold out on Amazon, they are proving to be very difficult to find.
