Trump called himself “a very big believer in the environment,” after recently explaining to reporters that he no longer believes climate change is a hoax. “Nothing’s a hoax about that. It’s a very serious subject,” he told reporters two weeks ago. “I want clean air; I want clean water. I want the cleanest air with the cleanest water. The environment’s very important to me.”

POTUS: We must reject the perennial prophets of doom and their predictions of the apocalypse. They are the heirs of yesterday’s foolish fortunetellers ... These alarmists always demand the same thing, absolute power to dominate, transform, and control every aspects of our lives.

Sounds like he said nothing is a hoax about the environment. The environment is real and and we all believe there is an environment. My definition of of climate change would actually be seasonal change. I believe God means me to help keep the environment as clean as possible and I have lots of plants and trees on my property.

That does not mean I believe one word of the twisted, global lies about climate change by their twisted definition.

>>HUH?

If Warren and Clinton are publicly destroying Sanders, where do those out of their minds furious young Sanders voters go? Well, last time, some of them came to us. But how angry are they over Trump’s perceived hatred of clean air and water and his famous desire to poison the earth? Well, doesn’t this say, “Come here, young voter. Don’t believe everything you hear. And do remember that the enemy of your enemy may be your friend.”

I don't remember Pres. Trump ever specifically calling Climate Change a hoax.

The fact checkers had to go back to 2012 to find where Pres. Trump called climate change a hoax - started by the Chinese and he said that was a joke.

This is a very different tone than the POTUS struck during his controversial decision to withdraw from the international Paris Climate Accord, which he criticized as being a ploy to siphon jobs and money from Americans.

I don't recall Pres. Trump ever criticizing climate change re: the paris accord. He was pissed that the U.S. was to carry most of the load while top polluters escaped.

And if you read the article and his comments back on 01/09/2020, what they said he said, he didn't say. The HILL provided a video that chopped the question that elicited his response.

Cliamte change has nothing to do with his answer.

Here's his position:

FROM THE ARTICLE:

President Donald Trump surprised the international ecological community with a pledge to join the One Trillion Trees initiative to fight climate change.

In 2019’s World Economic Forum, ecologist Dr. Thomas Crowther posited that planting 1.2 trillion trees could compensate for global CO2 emissions.

Now, the U.S. will officially join the effort to preserve the planet. “We’re committed to conserving the majesty of God’s creation and the natural beauty of our world,” Trump said.

he criticized the Paris Climate Accord as “being a ploy to siphon jobs and money from Americans.”

Just changed National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) that would exempt agencies from considering climate change among the environmental impacts of infrastructure projects — a practice.
******************************************************************************************
LOL. Now this makes me laugh. I have been saying for years, that if people were concerned about too much CO2, instead of taxing carbon, they should just plant trees. IIRC, just 4 trees is enough to take care of the average American family.

Good on the President-for explaining that being against the job killing Accords, doesn’t mean we don’t want clean air and water. He’s taking REAL action to make the environment better.

And the sensational headline is misleading —he hasn’t really flip flopped as the recent actions show—he’s just being effective at solving problems and supporting feasible solutions.

said, "after recently explaining to reporters that he no longer believes climate change is a hoax."

That isn't how I understood what he means. Liberals associate "climate change" with "environment" Trump simply helped them by changing the words for them.
