Hi Cotton,

I cook bacon in the microwave and what I don’t use I freeze in freezer bags.

I mentioned I tried to cook a pound of bacon in the oven the other day, on racks over pans.
The houses smelt terrible for 3 days.

How did cooking bacon smell horrible? It normally smells wonderful. Do you cover them with paper towels in the microwave? My new goal is to find a non-messy way of cooking it. Are usually partially cook it in a cast iron pan and then individually freeze the slices. And when somebody wants one we just nuke it for a few seconds. I suppose if they turn out good in the microwave I can just put them in there all the time. They do get crisp because they end up sizzling in their own fat.

It doesn’t get crispy enough for me in the microwave.

Did you put water in the pans to catch the grease?
