I never heard of spaghetti or macaroni in Chile. My mother used to make a casserole she called chile mac. Ground beef mixed with tomato sauce, chile powder and other spices, corn, macaroni and cheese.
I watched the Food Network yesterday and they made chili with spaghetti noodles.
I have never done that either.
