Virginia Democrats withdrew an AR-15 confiscation bill Monday after thousands of NRA members showed up to oppose new gun controls.
This was the plan all along. Ask for that which everyone will freak out about, drop it and proceed with the rest of the program.

This is the natural transition for a politician who panders to a demographic vote.
That demographic group(s) run rough-shod over the politician. Bernie isn’t actually running a campaign, he is following along with the demographic he pandered to.
