I so agree. Strange as it sounds I’m too young to remember Phyllis Schlafly. Have heard of her name, maybe saw her picture once or twice however that is it. Never heard her speak or anything.
Would not even be fair of me to speak good or bad about her because of what little I know.
I was not paying attention when she was in her prime, never saw her then, but did see her speak about a dozen or so years ago. It was at a Lefty girls college, so it was not a particularly friendly environment. She was very impressive, and handled hostile questions with grace and wit. It was a wonderful experience.
Phyllis Schlafly was a great defender of the unborn. She was a real ladies lady. She was totally and unashamedly against the feminist movement. She was anti-communist and could see disguised communist ideology for a country mile and was quick to call it out.
She had a great impact for good. She never ever gave up or gave an inch.
She was on the ten most hated women of America list put out by some liberal communist rag several times so you know she was great.
I strongly encourage you to read up on her.
I bet if you heard her voice you would recognize it.
Im 47 and I heard her Phyllis Schlafly Report for years on the radio.
I loved her fearless fight against progressive commies.
I was a pre-teen/young teen when Mrs. Schlafly was in the news, during the big push to pass the ERA. I was aware of her because my mother was deeply involved in the Pro Life movement and wanted us all to be aware of these issues even at a young age. From what I can tell ERA did not become law to a very large degree due to Mrs. Schlafly’s efforts. She got the same typical media treatment, being portrayed as some sort of repressive hayseed throwback, etc.
