I’ve been out of the field since 1993. It sounds like the world has turned completely upside down.
Most companies I've been at, have at least 50% IT from India.
One amusing anecdote, was at a contract job I had, where a new guy came in from Pakistan. He was let go after two weeks because none of the Indian workers would help him at all: including not giving him file permissions and passwords necessary to do his job.
Apparently there is bad blood between India and Pakistan.
