My wife died of cancer. Her treatment costs were in excess of $40,000 per month. For 11 months. My insurance paid every month without a quibble. As long as insurance companies are willing to pay these outrageous bills what cures exist will never be released unless they're forced out by the government. And I'm absolutely certain there are cures that we can only now imagine.

Exactly. Not to mention all of the money that various organizations raise for research. If the cure is found, in the name of which cause will they then raise big money?
