Years later he can go back to Alabama and get his degree. Kinda like Jerry pate, and Joe Namath did.

They played mostly crap teams. It’s easy to rack up a big point differential when you’re beating the snot out of bottom feeders on a regular basis. Their only win against a playoff team was week 7 against the Eagles, and the Eagles were only a playoff team cause the Cowboys stunk. That was definitely their problem, no ability to sustain against good teams. 71 yards against Buffalo, 47 against Minn, 47 against the Eagles the 2nd time. Those are the games your expensive players are supposed to earn their salaries. He didn’t.

I’m not saying Zeke is a bad player, but running backs are a dime a dozen, and the Cowboys greatly overpaid for a player that still had two years left on his contract, and odds are, would be pretty much done by the time that contract was up.

... cause Saban is an ass who played him too soon after an injury !

That's inaccurate. Tua had his hip dislocated in a freak accident. His ankle injury had zero to do with that. Now if you'd like to argue whether Tua should have been in that game after it was won, we can debate.

Alabama used and abused this guy. He’s making the best decision of his life.

In fact, the first thing I’d do if I were a GM, is to find out who the best OL coach is in the country, and pay him whatever he wants.

A good OL alone gets you to 8 wins. And a coach who knows how to make the most out of his OL personnel is worth his weight in gold.

Bama would have won, but I think the game may have been even closer.

Bama lost that game AND Auburn to penalties. 5 first downs for LSU and 6 for Auburn (including the nail in the coffin). They deserved to lose. Roll Tide.

The cowboys outscored their opponents massively in 2019. That wasn’t the problem.

Subtract those two games against the Deadskins, and it's not so impressive.

I had No Idea college football can bring in so much money.

College Football coaches are the highest paid state employees in the country.

Bama’s defense wasn’t up to their usual standards this year. They lacked that dominant defensive player.

The success Dallas had recently was when Jones finally stopped chasing stars and actually built his lines. But they didn’t get a ring, so he’s back to stars. And they’re back to being a bad team.

Also, missing field goals doesn’t help. Will Saban ever recruit a 5-star kicker?

Yep. I had thought Jerry had turned the corner, but obviously not.

After all, he had a man crush on “Johnny Football” and wanted him in Dallas, LOL!

Most of them were babies. You aren't hearing any screaming about too many defensive players going to the draft this year. That happened last year. The D next year will be ferocious (and hopefully less penalty prone).

At the risk of sounding racist, don't get me started.

Oh, I think Bama’s right back in the playoffs next year. LSU should drop off a bit.

But I think the Gators might be right there with them, next year. ;)

I wouldn’t say that at all. 1) The cowboys played 8 games against playoff teams and 2 others against the fairly good Rams. The only bottom feeding games they had were in their own division, which PHI did as well and they only finished +13 for the year, 100 points less than DAL, but 9-7. Dallas did not finish out well against good teams in general - that is on the coaching staff.

Yeah, but if you take out the best two and worst two games for every team, it’ll usually wash out. In 2019, Dallas lost to all the good teams in very close games, which again indicates coaching as the primary issue IMO.

They played 8 games against playoff teams and went 7-1. Clearly those games didn’t add to their point differential. Meanwhile they’re in the NFC Least and got to play the Giants, Redskins and Eagles twice each. And their cross conferences division was the AFC East and they got to play the Jets, Bills and Phins. What’s they’re point differential if you throw out the Skins and Phins games? Those were all big wins. Dallas hasn’t finished well against good teams for a long time. Going all the way back to Parcell’s time. They aren’t a good team. And frequently the reason they’re not a good team is they grossly over pay skill players and have crappy lines.

Isn’t Dak a Free Agent?

Yes. You really think Belichick will outbid Jones?
