Chelsea Clinton has reaped $9 million in compensation since 2011 for serving on the board of an internet investment company, according to Barrons, the financial publication.
Barrons reported Sunday that Clinton has profited handsomely as a board member for IAC/InterActiveCorp, a media and internet investment company that has an ownership stake in 150 well-known brands, such as Vimeo, Tinder, Angies List and Home Advisor.
Clinton, the only child of former President Bill Clinton and former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, has served on IACs board since 2011 and receives an annual $50,000 retainer and $250,000 worth of restricted IAC stock units, Barrons reports.
She reported owning $8.95 million worth of IAC stock to the Securities and Exchange Commission at the end of December.
Barrons notes that IACs stock has risen 89 percent, 50 percent and 36 percent in 2017, 2018 and 2019, respectively, a far steeper rise than the broader stock market.
Clintons public profile has proved a valuable commodity.
She earned an annual salary of $600,000 working as a special correspondent for NBC News in 2013 and part of 2014.
Clinton was named to the board of Expedia Group in March of 2017, a position that typically earned $250,000 in 2015, according to a report at the time by The Guardian.
Both IAC and Expedia are controlled by Barry Diller, the business and television mogul, who is a friend of Hillary Clinton.

Has she named any of her Kids “Hunter”?
High paying no-show jobs. They aren’t just for the Mafia anymore.
“Never has one earned so much, from doing so little.”
Yep. I’m on the BOD of three NYSE companies, varying from a $10B market cap to much higher, one of which is an oil company.
I’m a petroleum engineer, geologist, and was an SVP of a major and a founder of several independent oil companies, all of which that did well and one of which is now one of said three NYSE companies.
Many, many, decades of experience, with a fantastic track record of returns.
My comp for the oil company is about $150K cash and $300K stock, and then $300K stock bonus for every 3 years, cliff vesting. (The cash basically paying the taxes.)
My comp at the other companies is in that ball park, although the larger companies are somewhat higher.
Not a bad gig, as I still have my day job.
This is market for a standard SEC independent director.
Whatever she has going, is a bribe.
And don’t get me started about Hunter.
What utter nonsense.
Her parents' criminality while in office is behind this.
How does this surprise anyone?
This is how the dynasties are built.
Duh....
It would be easy to say we ban political children from these things, but its not. Who is going to start vetting every board member? Has anyone actually looked at the BOD of any large company?
It would be impossible to change the corporate structure in the US.
And thats not counting all the Clinton Foundation slush money she made
or still makes.
Quid Pro Ho...
Good point, Drew68. HOORAY MWT...no “bribes” for you.
She doesn’t care about money. She has said as much.
So, NBC is part of the kickback scheme to B&H..
Well deserved. snark snark. Maybe being rich will spare us her dabbling into politics as a candidate with “business experience”
high income + low/non production + low/non effort = chelsea clinton/michelle obama/hunter biden type job
No, no bribe at all.
I sometimes gag at the amount I get for a part-time gig, but then I am a legitimate expert on the topics I am involved in, so much so that other companies try to steal me on a regular basis.
For this twit to get millions is just absurd.
Good for you, Tex. What’s in your head is valuable. I’m sure you worked very hard to get there.
Zactly. Plus she "doesn't care about money" because she's never been without it and doesn't know the value of it.
There's a huge difference, of course. Want to play?
Thanks, Simpson96.
